Well, it’s been well over a year since the release of my single ‘Just For Tonight’ on the follow-up of the ‘Endless Echoes’ LP. On the 1st of March 2023, I will be releasing a brand new track titled ‘Christine’, taken from my new album ‘Dan Le Noir’.
My original plan was to spend the winter months recording the entire album. But, life has its way of throwing a few spanners in the works from time to time, and it’s been a busy, busy time.
How busy?
Well, creating music isn’t my breadwinner, of course, it’s not.
Sure I’d love it to be. Who wouldn’t? But I do have a creative business to run, a family, kids to run around after, and chores to do haha. It’s not always about living a neon pinky, glittery ball life of Riley. Instagram paints a perfect picture of those aesthetics, I know, but in real life, it’s not 1985.
OK, so rant over, the new single ‘Christine’ drops on the 1st of March 2023 on Bandcamp. Then subsequently becomes available on all streaming services including Apple Music and Spotify from the 13th of March, which also happens to be my daughter’s 10th Birthday.
I’m really excited about this track as it really sets the tone for some of the songs on the new LP, which I’m having a lot of fun producing.
This one feels a lot different, unlike Endless Echoes, where it was really just a solo, experimental effort, the songs that I will be releasing in an album over the coming months are more of a collaborative effort with some amazing and talented musicians (guitarists) that I’ve connected with over the last 12 months or so.
